Finding a wedding dress is easy – head to any bridal shop and you’ll have tons of options in different styles, different fabrics, and different shades of white. But shopping for your elopement might be a little more complicated – because while every elopement dress is a wedding dress, not every wedding dress is an […]

What comes to mind when you think of Wisconsin? Cheese, beer, maybe some cows? Well, maybe that’s true, but did you know Wisconsin also has some pretty incredible scenery – lakes, forests, rugged shorelines, and so much more. You don’t have to travel far for gorgeous backdrops on your elopement day! I’m a Wisconsin […]

Here’s the thing – people love weddings. And with that comes the fact that they love to give out their (often unsolicited) opinions about weddings! You probably noticed that as soon as you got engaged, you started hearing from distant cousins who want an invite, friends that demand a plus one, grandmothers who want […]

When you think of the word “elopement,” what comes to mind? Rhinestone studded chapels? Couples running off to Vegas? Last minute, rushed ceremonies? Scandalous affairs and secret marriages? If you Google “elope definition,” you’ll get several results that tell you it means running away secretly. While that may be what eloping used to mean, […]

On a list of things that are incredibly underrated, the Midwest is pretty close to the top. Minnesota, and the midwest in general, is full of incredible landscapes and breathtaking scenery, with hidden gems and secret treasures sprinkled all over the state. If you’re planning to elope in Minnesota, narrowing down the perfect location […]

LOCATION: SOMERSET, WI For most people, when they think of Wisconsin, they think of cheese and farmland. While it is true, we have both of those things, there are also rolling green hills, tall trees, and lots of fresh water lakes. The northwestern part of the state is a perfect example of how incredibly beautiful, […]

LOCATION: SPLIT ROCK RIVER TRAIL, TWO HARBORS, MN As someone who grew up in WI, I first saw the high cliffs and vastness of The North Shore just a few years ago. It quickly earned its way amongst the top of my favorite Midwest locations. There is something indescribable how long the eye can gaze […]
Photography didn’t start as a hobby for me. It’s just always been there. I was the kid flipping through photo albums, getting stuck on certain images longer than anyone else. Not because they were perfect but because they felt like something. Real. Honest. Like you could step into them and understand the moment without anyone explaining it.
That’s still what I’m chasing.
My work has never been about perfect poses or overly curated moments. It’s about connection. The kind you can’t fake. The kind that shows up in the in-between. How someone reaches for you, How you exhale when you feel safe, how a moment lands without anyone trying too hard.
When I photograph a wedding, I’m not there to control the day. I’m there to see it. To pay attention to what’s actually happening and preserve it in a way that feels like you. Less performance. More presence.
Because the photos that matter aren’t the ones that look perfect. They’re the ones that feel like you were really there. And honestly, that’s how I live too.
I’m either hosting people I love, finding new places to wander through, or chasing my kids around. But the best moments? They’re usually the simplest ones. At home. Comfortable. Connected.
That’s what I notice.
That’s what I care about.
And that’s what I photograph.
