For most people, when they think of Wisconsin, they think of cheese and farmland. While it is true, we have both of those things, there are also rolling green hills, tall trees, and lots of fresh water lakes. The northwestern part of the state is a perfect example of how incredibly beautiful, Wisconsin can be. It was at the top of one those hills that Amy + Matt chose to get married.

Getting ready at the Lodge on Croix

I arrived early in the day to capture those special moments with close family and friends that happen while getting ready. Amy relied on her friends to do her hair and makeup and the morning was filled with mimosas, children playing, and talk about how wonderful the ceremony was going to be.

Hill top ceremony overlooking the St Croix valley

With a winding road to the top of hill, the ceremony overlooked the St. Croix river. Amy + Matt started their marriage to each other amongst family, close friends, and the lush green of Wisconsin.

They had their first look in front of the arch that they had built together and shared a moment filled with laughter and joy. And most importantly an opportunity to be together, just the two of them before any other eyes were watching them.

Their family and friends joined them for their vows in what was a perfect them ceremony.
