Did you know that the average wedding in the United States costs over $30,000?! That’s right – it’s the cost of a new car, a down payment on a house, or at least three international trips. Budget is inevitably a consideration for most eloping couples – but a small ceremony doesn’t mean your wedding day […]

Located in South Dakota, Badlands National Park offers unique views of the layered rock formations, towering spires, and plunging canyons – all formed from volcanic ash carved by wind and water over millions of years. The maze of rock is home to several species of wildlife, and is also a relic for the fossils of […]

So you’re engaged? Let’s start with congratulations! You might have noticed that the moment you announced your engagement, folks started sharing opinions and the guest list was getting longer and longer. If you are feeling anxious about all the things associated with a wedding, here are 3 tips for couples recently engaged on how to handle […]

I probably don’t even need to explain why Iceland is an incredible place for an elopement – if you’ve seen photos of the fjords, glaciers, icebergs, and waterfalls (or you’ve seen them in person), you know that Iceland’s rugged landscape is absolutely breathtaking. Even as it grows in popularity, Iceland remains a wild, magical place. […]

The Driftless area is a region in southwestern Wisconsin that escaped the carving of glaciers. The result is steep ridges, deep river valleys, and rugged terrain. It is means that there are cliffs that are great for climbing and a deep lake created by the glacial water. Devil’s Lake State Park is located in this […]

There are a lot of reasons why couples choose to elope, but one of the most popular is that they just don’t want all those people looking at them! Having a private, intimate ceremony is just one perk of eloping. But what if you arrive at your gorgeous outdoor elopement location, only to realize that […]

There are so many reasons that couples choose to elope – including the fact that standing up in front of a hundred people and reading your vows (basically the most vulnerable thing you’ve ever written) can be pretty stressful! Eloping with just a few guests, or even just the two of you, can alleviate a […]
Photography didn’t start as a hobby for me. It’s just always been there. I was the kid flipping through photo albums, getting stuck on certain images longer than anyone else. Not because they were perfect but because they felt like something. Real. Honest. Like you could step into them and understand the moment without anyone explaining it.
That’s still what I’m chasing.
My work has never been about perfect poses or overly curated moments. It’s about connection. The kind you can’t fake. The kind that shows up in the in-between. How someone reaches for you, How you exhale when you feel safe, how a moment lands without anyone trying too hard.
When I photograph a wedding, I’m not there to control the day. I’m there to see it. To pay attention to what’s actually happening and preserve it in a way that feels like you. Less performance. More presence.
Because the photos that matter aren’t the ones that look perfect. They’re the ones that feel like you were really there. And honestly, that’s how I live too.
I’m either hosting people I love, finding new places to wander through, or chasing my kids around. But the best moments? They’re usually the simplest ones. At home. Comfortable. Connected.
That’s what I notice.
That’s what I care about.
And that’s what I photograph.
